Semi-detached town house in a sober, ornamental Art Deco style, built as the home of the merchant E. Masso to a 1927 design by the architect François Dens, and altered again during construction (changes approved in August 1928); predating the Exhibition district, it forms with the Jahr, Maes and Zech-Steyteheff houses a group of four houses. Of two bays and two storeys under a pseudo-mansard, it has façades of brown hand-moulded brick on a high blue-stone base, set off with white stone; a three-sided bay window crowned by a balcony and a corner bay with three tall windows structure the façade, made horizontal by white bands and a frieze below the cornice. According to the inventory, the Art Deco is expressed with restraint in the stylised egg-and-dart mouldings and the dormer surround, and more clearly in the semicircular door surround with floral motifs and in the geometric wrought iron of the double front door, the balcony and the side railing. The interior retains, among other things, the polychrome marble floor and wall facing of the hall. The house is recorded in the Flemish architectural heritage inventory.
