Art Deco apartment building with a former cinema, built for the limited company 'Gerex' to a 1928 design by the architect François Dens; the works, permitted on 3 July 1928, began on 8 May 1929. Dens had already built the 'Majestic' apartment building with cinema in Carnotstraat for 'Gerex' in 1923-1924. The six upper storeys are marked by colossal three-sided oriels with balconies on either side of a glazed stair tower.
