Apartment building in a sober Art Deco style, designed in 1931 by the architect François Dens for the property company 'ICA', probably a front for the diamond dealer Jacques Deutscher. It contains sixteen high-standing flats and belongs to a group of some fifteen high-rise blocks built in the late inter-war years around or near the Stadspark. On a concrete frame, the symmetrical five-bay, eight-storey façade, in natural stone on a bluestone plinth, is accentuated by two three-sided oriels rising through the upper floors; the central section has a horizontal rhythm of shallow balconies. The fine ironwork of the basement grilles and railings survives.
