Semi-detached town house in the Art Deco style, built in 1935 for the engineer L.J. Williame, managing director of the Béliard-Crighton shipyard, to a 1934 design by the architect Joseph Somers; it is one of the first buildings on Ryckmansstraat. Of two bays and two storeys, it is capped by a tall slate pseudo-mansard roof. The façades of red sand-faced brick, on a blue-stone base, are soberly articulated and dominated by a heavy three-sided bay window in white stone; white-stone lintels, sills, band and frieze, together with sills of black glazed tiles, trace horizontal lines. The original wooden doors and geometric wrought ironwork survive; the roof storey was extended at the rear in 2012-2013. The house is recorded in the Flemish architectural heritage inventory.
