Modest Art Deco town house built for G. Latinie to a 1926 design by the architect Raymond Ceurvorst; the inventory sees it as an intact and representative example of his early works, which combine a rather conventional façade composition with discreet Art Deco ornament. Terraced, of two unequal bays and three storeys under a flat roof, it has a cornice façade of red brick and render, with natural stone for ornaments, sills and copings, whose slate-clad crowning suggests a mansard roof. The asymmetrical composition accentuates the wide side bay with the projecting garage, a slightly curved bay window with a balcony and an angled mitre-arched crowning, while the door projection has a stepped crowning; besides the expressive brickwork, in cross bond combined with brick-on-edge courses, stepped and recessed profiles and dentil friezes, the façade stands out above all for its carved Art Deco stones with abstract and figurative motifs, including an owl at the top of the door projection and tropical birds on the bay window. The wooden joinery of the front door and garage door, with their wrought-iron grilles, and that of the windows with small glazing bars survive, as do the iron-and-glass door canopy, a lantern above the garage and the wrought-iron front-garden railing. The house is recorded in the Flemish architectural heritage inventory.
