Ensemble of two multi-family houses (nos. 57-59) and a town house (no. 61) in early Art Deco style, designed in 1921 by the architects Jacques De Weerdt and Alfons Van Braekel for Valentinus Locus-Dineur, from Beringen; the design is probably to be attributed to the young Van Braekel. The three storeys under a pseudo-mansard are faced entirely in white stone on a moulded bluestone base, with taller projections marked by canopied oriels and a dormer with a mitre arch. The sober ornament is limited to the bead and dentil mouldings, small stones with flower motifs and flower baskets in half-relief typical of early Art Deco; the wooden joinery survives. The ensemble is recorded in the Flemish architectural heritage inventory.
