Townhouse in a restrained Art Deco style, built in 1924 by the contractor Julien Gheysens for Clement Theunen. It was preceded by a 1923 design for a multi-family house by the architect Camille Janssens. Set behind a small front garden, the terraced house of three bays and three storeys under a flat roof has a red-brick cornice façade enlivened by string courses and surrounds in white stone or imitation stone and a bluestone plinth. The horizontal, slightly asymmetrical composition lines up framed triple windows; the three-sided ground-floor bay window with balcony is flanked by an off-centre round-arched porch. The joinery of the door, windows and cornice survives, as does the wrought iron of the balcony railing and the front-garden gate; the house is recorded in the Flemish architectural heritage inventory.
