Pair of differentiated Art Deco apartment houses of asymmetrical composition, designed by the architect René Notéris in 1931; his signature appears on the first floor of no. 165. Together with no. 163 they form a particularly coherent row of buildings in the same style. The orange-brick façades, enhanced with white imitation stone and white stone, are articulated by giant pilasters and decorated with chevron lintels and carved stylised plant motifs. A trapezoidal oriel at no. 165 and a bow window at no. 167 each carry a terrace in front of a triplet. The glazed wrought-iron doors, small-paned frames and cornices survive; the houses are recorded in the inventory.
