Maison de rapport Art déco, avenue Paul Deschanel 163

Art Deco apartment house, signed and dated 1933 on the ground floor by the architect Achille Michel. With nos. 165 and 167 it forms a particularly coherent row of buildings in the same style. The yellow-brick façade with accentuated horizontal joints, enhanced with rendered areas, has five storeys, the top one an attic. On the first three upper floors the right-hand bay is marked by a two-storey bow window beneath a terrace with a tubular handrail, and panels of upright bricks enliven the elevation. The door with its grilled opening and the small-paned frames of the second floor are original; the house is recorded in the inventory.
