The architect Eduard Van Steenbergen's own house, built in 1925 in the Art Deco style (permit file of 3 March 1925). Its façade, with shifting volumes and combinations of brick bonds, refers according to the inventory to Dutch architecture (Dudok, Van 't Hoff) and to Frank Lloyd Wright. The concrete structures remain visible, notably the support of the bay window and the canopy above the balcony; the stained glass of the bel-étage has been replaced by plain glass, but that of the third storey survives. The interior fittings and furniture were also designed by Van Steenbergen. The house has been protected as a monument since 1988.
