House and clothing shop Bauweraerts-Jespers, in the New Objectivity and Art Deco style, designed by architect Eduard Van Steenbergen, who also designed the stained glass and the original furniture of the shop, hallway and living rooms. The first design, of 1930, remodelled the right-hand part of the existing building; in 1946-1947 the shop and dwelling were doubled in size, the present shopfront was built and a tailor's workshop was housed in a separate wing. The three-bay, three-storey cornice façade is dominated by a full-width oriel clad in black faience, with a flagpole and horizontal iron windows, above a travertine shopfront. The almost intact interior retains among other things the wood-panelled hallway and staircase of around 1930, the original kitchen, the living room refitted in 1947 and the winter garden of 1946-1947; the building is recorded in the Flemish architectural heritage inventory.
