Art Deco multi-family house in Berchem, built for the contractor Louis Vermeulen to a design of late 1928; the works were carried out in 1929 by the building firm Gebroeders Vermeulen, which also drew up the plans. The cornice façade of two unequal bays and four storeys under a flat roof combines red brick with painted imitation stone; its asymmetrical composition emphasises the wide right-hand projecting bay, marked by three-sided bay windows over three storeys, resting on a stepped corbel decorated with floral and spiral scrolls. The parapets of the second and third floors bear medallions with flower and spiral motifs. The wrought-iron front garden railing survives in full, as do the front door and garage door with their wrought iron. The house is recorded in the Flemish architectural heritage inventory.
