Art Deco town house built after a 1923 design by the architects Vincent Cols and Jules De Roeck, and owned by De Roeck. According to the inventory, new interwar buildings are fairly rare in the Zuid district, most plots having been built on in the first decade of the twentieth century; the house stands on land freed by the demolition of a building of the contractor Aimé Hesbain at no. 52. Of three bays and three storeys under a flat roof, the sober dark-brick façade rests on a low bluestone plinth extended by render and ends in a chevron-shaped cornice. The two lower storeys are set within a frame with a rendered top moulding and divided by pilasters. The original joinery of the front door and upper windows survives. The house is recorded in the Flemish architectural heritage inventory.
