Maison Art déco, Bouwmeestersstraat 14 — Anvers

Art Deco house built in 1928 to his own design by M. Stroobants, a sworn surveyor and weigher by profession; a garage belonging to the mansion at Amerikalei 98 was demolished to make way for it. The two-bay, three-storey brick façade under a flat roof has a low ground floor marked by an undulating string course carrying the first-floor bow window. Cemented sections and Art Deco ornament of fruit and plant garlands complete the façade. The building is recorded in the Flemish architectural heritage inventory.
