Apartment building in a sober, functional Art Deco style, designed in 1932 by the architects Vincent Cols and Jules De Roeck for Charles Peeters-Mennen, and built by the contractor Van de Velde on a reinforced concrete frame. The almost unornamented façade in wine-red Belvédère brick and natural stone is strictly symmetrical, with two taller side projections with three-sided oriels; decoration is limited to a chevron frieze and the wooden cornice. The entrance hall is clad in yellow travertine, and the Thièry lift installed in 1932 retains its original machinery. The building is recorded in the Flemish architectural heritage inventory.
