Fire station and former police station of the municipality of Deurne, built around 1930 in the Art Deco style; the council approved the plans and awarded the works in July and August 1930. The building plans are not known, but the inventory attributes the design, with a high degree of probability, to the municipal architect Edward Van Not. The single-storey, five-bay fire station is flanked by the set-back wing of the police station, two storeys high under a flat roof; each wing opens with a three-storey watchtower with an entrance porch and balcony in white stone. The red-brick façades are set off with white natural stone; four round-arched vehicle doors, separated by columns, are topped by a frieze bearing the inscription "BRANDWEER", and spiral motifs decorate the surrounds and corbels of the police station. The buildings were extended around 1945 and in 1958 and 1981, and they are recorded in the Flemish architectural heritage inventory.
