Town house in an ornamental Art Deco style, named "Zonnestraal" in the permit file, built for John De Hoon-Stabel to a 1928 design by the architect Pierre De Jongh; it was designed with two dwellings, one probably intended for the client. Of two unequal bays, over a basement and three storeys under a flat roof, its cornice façade entirely of white stone, on a high blue-stone plinth, is enlivened by many typical Art Deco ornaments: bead and egg-and-dart mouldings, cut corbels, fluting, meanders, stylised scrollwork and panels with floral motifs. The wide bay is marked on the first floor by a triple bow window on a stepped corbel, crowned by a balcony with volutes; the taller entrance bay opens with a door under a double-broken arch and ends in a bell-shaped top bearing a radiant sun between dolphins, a motif repeated in the door grille. The steel front door, the ground-floor sash windows and the front-garden railing survive. The house is recorded in the Flemish architectural heritage inventory.
