Single-family house designed in 1933 by the Deurne architect Jan Sels for U. Van Rijmenant, in the geometric Art Deco style characteristic of the architect; it is part of a series of houses by Sels in the central part of the street (nos. 35, 37, 39, 43 and 45). The brown-brick façade on a high bluestone plinth is richly decorated with white stone: half-columns with floral capitals around the ground-floor openings, a full-width all-stone oriel on the first floor carried on volute corbels, and a gable with ogee arches; the architect's name is inscribed in the stone. The front garden and basement were converted into a garage around 1952, to plans by the same architect. The building is recorded in the Flemish architectural heritage inventory.
