Town house in the Art Deco style, built in 1928 to designs by the architect Jef Huygh for the Jewish merchant Simon Wolf Rosshändler, who had it converted into a multi-family house as early as 1929, again to a design by Huygh. Through its references to his own house, the Lianahalle, it is according to the inventory characteristic of the atypical Art Deco Huygh developed in the 1920s. Of three unequal bays and three storeys under a slate pseudo-mansard, it has a white-stone cornice façade on a high blue-stone plinth, enriched with whimsically carved capitals, corbels and springers. Axial and symmetrical, the composition is dominated on the first floor by a three-sided loggia almost the full width of the façade, carrying a balcony on columns; the stylised honeybee, Huygh's signature, appears on the corbels, the ironwork, the elliptical dormers and the door lights. The original joinery with thin glazing bars survives except on the second floor. The house is recorded in the Flemish architectural heritage inventory.
