Town house in a sober Art Deco style, built to a 1931 design by the architect Jef Huygh for the sculptor Georges Collard, probably as a rental property; Huygh had already designed Collard's own house and studio at Drakenhoflaan 42 in 1924, and the ground floor was altered in 1936 for the owner A. Van Ham. It is part of a row of houses on Boekenberglei that, according to the inventory, represent the great variety of Art Deco styles of the interwar period. Of three storeys under a flat roof, it has a sober, axial and entirely symmetrical cornice façade: a white-stone ground floor with two round-arched openings for the garage and entrance, a bel-étage with a pseudo-bay window almost the full width of the façade, and three windows on the top floor. The red-brown brick facing is decorated with bricks set on edge in the quarter-round sides of the bay window and above the windows, and two heavy brick piers carry the composition above the cornice. The house is recorded in the Flemish architectural heritage inventory.
