Art Deco town house built for Emiel Van Dyck to a 1928 design by the architect Jef Huygh; it was the first building to receive a permit in the newly laid-out Hazelarenstraat. Representative of Huygh's personal Art Deco style, influenced by German Jugendstil, the Vienna Secession and the Amsterdam School, the 7-metre red Boom-brick façade is divided over two storeys into seven narrow bays by projecting ribs, and crowned by a mitre-shaped gable with volutes and a medallion. The wooden joinery with small glazing bars and the wrought ironwork survive. The house is recorded in the Flemish architectural heritage inventory.
