An Art Deco town house built in 1924 by Van Hoenacker, Van Beurden and Smolderen (partners since 1920, at first active in the reconstruction of the Westhoek) for Cléomir Jussiant (1872-1961), a timber merchant, president of the Antwerp Commercial Court and Chamber of Commerce, art collector and patron. Set on a triangular plot, its facade stands exactly on the axis of the Bosmanslei, and the house presents itself as a contemporary palazzo of five bays with a large bow window and a shell-shaped pediment. Still marked by the Vienna Secession, it has discreet floral decoration and clearly delineated wall planes. It remained in the family until it was sold in 2011, and until then it had kept its original interior, including furniture and art collection.
