Town house in a sober Art Deco style designed in 1928 by the architect David Moëd and built in 1929 for Jehuda Isidore Lux and his wife Tonia Wellner; it is one of the architect's earliest works, who later made his name in the 1930s with modernist apartment buildings. Terraced, with a cornice façade mainly in brick on a natural-stone base, it has two storeys and a tiled pseudo-mansard, in two unequal bays whose asymmetrical composition reflects the interior layout. The wide side bay is marked by a three-sided bay window with profiled mullions and an adjoining balcony; the low-relief facing decoratively combines areas of stretcher and soldier bond and, at the level of the bay window, carries discreet ornaments in a geometric Art Deco, while the door with a sidelight is sheltered by a straight wooden canopy. The wooden joinery of the door and windows survives, as does a wooden staircase with ribbed posts. The house is recorded in the Flemish architectural heritage inventory.
