The Socialist People's House, known as 't Volkshuis, is an Art Deco building designed by the architect Robert Jan Soebert (of Berchem), with a design dated 3 June 1925, for the cooperative De Toekomst; it opened on 27 February 1926. The four-bay, three-storey facade is of brick and bluestone; above the door, two crouching male figures in high relief symbolise labour. It has been listed since 2001.
