Multi-family house in a sober Art Deco style ("sobere art-decostijl"), designed in 1933 by Florent Vaes for Louis Vaes, probably a relative of the architect; intended for a single family, it was altered during construction, with a permit of June 1933, to form two dwellings, and the rear block was raised by two storeys. In the same year Vaes designed the neighbouring house at no. 89. The three-bay, three-storey façade under a flat roof combines a ground floor treated as a plinth, faced with bluestone, and upper floors in sanded brown brick with "Dudok" joints (recessed bed joints, flush perpends), under a narrow stone cornice. A dynamic horizontality ties the three bays together, while the narrow central bay has small recessed windows between projecting rounded mullions topped by a stylised fan in white stone; the entrance and the cellar window keep their decorative ironwork. The replacement of the windows without their glazing bars has partly erased the rhythm of the façade, and the front door has been replaced. It is recorded in the Flemish architectural heritage inventory.
