Art Deco apartment building erected in 1935-1936 as an investment property for Cyriel Borghgraef, a dentist from Hoboken, to a design by the architect Frans Cools. The four-bay façade, in red brick generously combined with white natural stone, has an upper section treated as a monumental register of windows, with five-sided side bay windows linked to a central balcony, above a ground floor designed as a rusticated base. The wrought-iron entrance door and the original lift by the maker E. Thièry, in an open shaft with an ornamental grille, survive. The building is recorded in the Flemish architectural heritage inventory.
