Town house in the Art Deco style, built in 1933 for Johan Van Dieren to designs by the architect Fernand Pelgrims; it is one of the first private buildings in the Exhibition district (Tentoonstellingswijk), from whose modernist architecture its fairly conventional ornamental Art Deco sets it apart. Of four storeys, the top one treated as an attic or pseudo-mansard, it has a three-part façade: a base of Euville stone, a facing of yellow-orange flamed brick and an attic clad in copper plates. The wide left-hand bay is marked by a three-sided bay window with curved sides and by a balcony; a continuous entablature and bands of white stone underline the horizontality. Wrought-iron grilles with a geometric Art Deco motif decorate the steel entrance door and garage door, both original, as well as the balcony balustrade. The house is recorded in the Flemish architectural heritage inventory.
