Apartment complex in a functional Art Deco style designed in 1934 by the architect David Moëd for the company L'Immobilière Franco Anversoise, founded by the diamond merchant Maurice Arouété; begun in autumn 1934 and completed at the end of 1935, it combines a large street building with, a novelty in Antwerp, a second, smaller block in the garden. The main building, with a reinforced-concrete frame, has seven storeys above a basement; its façade of over 20 m, in mostly white natural stone with bluestone and red brick, is symmetrical and dominated by a broad central section treated as a continuous projecting bay, between side projections whose stepped Art Deco crowning has been lost. It contained fourteen high-standard flats, the annex five standard flats; the complex was published in 1937 in the journal Bâtir. The complex is recorded in the Flemish architectural heritage inventory.
