Art Deco apartment building erected for the Société Immobilière Belgo-Américaine "SIBA", whose managing directors were Leon Dimenstein and Harry Greenberg, to a 1928 design by the architect David Moëd; it is among his very first works. It originally contained only two large duplex flats, and in 1933 the company had it extended and redivided into five flats, with an extra roof storey treated as a slate-clad pseudo-mansard. The three-bay cornice façade combines white stone and red brick on a bluestone plinth; pilasters with an Art Deco profile, in a giant order over the two main storeys, mark the central bay and are topped by medallions in the form of a stylised eagle, probably referring to the arms of the United States and the American nationality of one of the clients. According to the inventory, the abstract-patterned medallions of the second floor and the ironwork of the window railings, fanlight and cellar grilles add to the Art Deco character; the lift installed in 1929 by E. Thièry survives. The building is recorded in the Flemish architectural heritage inventory.
