Apartment building in the Art Deco style built for the metal trader Joseph Halévy to a 1934 design by the architect David Moëd, as a property investment. It is representative of the type of block of flats to which Moëd devoted himself in the 1930s, an architecture marked by restrained modernism, careful finish and discreet Art Deco ornament. On a reinforced-concrete frame, the symmetrical three-bay, six-storey façade combines Dura artificial stone and red brick; the upper part is treated over its full height as a three-sided oriel with horizontal registers, and only the Art Deco wrought-iron window railings and cellar grilles survive. The building is recorded in the Flemish architectural heritage inventory.
