House in the Art Deco style designed by Oscar Vandenhoeck and built in 1927, one of the earliest buildings in the Miljoenenkwartier; the architect also designed its stained glass and furniture. The symmetrical two-storey façade under a hipped roof frames the central entrance, emphasised by a large dormer, between polygonal windows and corner turrets; all the openings, finished with stepped arches, narrow towards the top or bottom, and the angular forms combine brick, render and leaded glass, which recur with wrought iron on the side elevations. The rear elevation has been heavily altered by a modern extension into the garden. Inside, the porch is lined with marble and has a black-and-white ceramic floor, the banister of the central staircase is geometric, in red and black, with triangular motifs filled with glass, and the Art Deco marble fireplaces survive throughout; the garden is closed off from the street by a wrought-iron fence on a brick base. The villa, without the modern extension, has been protected as a monument together with its garden since 2006, within the Miljoenenkwartier, protected as an urban site since 1994.
