Brick terraced house built for E. Schelfhout to a 1930 design by G. De Groote, of two unequal bays and three storeys under a flat roof. The very colourful Art Deco façade is enriched with green faience tiles around the door and on the trapezoidal bay window that spans the first two storeys of the right-hand bay and ends on the third in a balcony with a wrought-iron balustrade in front of a round-arched window. The corbels of the bay window are decorated with floral motifs, the window above the entrance is enlivened by staggered brickwork and a flower box, and a terracotta frieze runs beneath the wooden cornice; the transoms have Art Deco stained glass. The interior keeps wall paintings from the 1930s with geometric, floral and animal motifs and, almost in full, the joinery, parquet, tiled floors, staircase, radiator casings, chimneypieces, stained glass and the bathroom. The house has been protected as a monument since 2006 and lies within the protected townscape of the Miljoenenkwartier.
