A commercial and residential building in a sober, functional Art Deco style, designed in 1937 by the Ghent architect Geo Henderick for Werner Neyrinck, whose paper wholesale business Neyrinck-Geudens already occupied the plot, and built in 1937-1938 by the contractor Robert Roofthooft. Henderick resolves the sharp step in the building line of the Oever with a rotunda, and enlivens the facade with a contrasting facing of matt yellow brick and lightly glazed terracotta-coloured brick laid in vertical courses. Planned with three storeys, a shop and paper store on the ground floor and four flats above, the building received a fourth storey in 1960-1961 to plans by the architect Raymond Flémal. According to the inventory, it is Henderick's only work in Antwerp.
