A group of two Art Deco apartment buildings on the corner of Oever and Steegsken, built in quick succession to designs by Louis De Vooght of 1926 (Steegsken 7) and 1927 (Oever 26-28) for Victor Sturm, a dealer in floor and wall tiles and a flooring and tiling contractor. Six storeys high under flat roofs, they have sober red-brick facades articulated by cement bands, with projecting bays on stepped corbels on the Steegsken side and a zigzag oriel on the axis of the Oever side. The window aprons incorporate tile panels and glazed-brick mosaics, decorative or advertising ("TEGELS" "VICTOR STURM" "VLOEREN", "CARRELAGES VICT. STURM FAIENCES"), most probably made by the Manufactures Céramiques d'Hemixem, Gilliot & Cie; the corner building retains its wooden shopfronts with a stained-glass frieze.
