A group of three brick houses in the manner of the Amsterdam School, designed by the architect Geo Henderick (1879-1957) under a building application of 1927. Two identical mirror-image houses flank the central double house, which he built for himself as home and studio; the door carries a seahorse-shaped handle. A pupil of Charles Van Rysselberghe, Henderick published La merveilleuse architecture in 1938, a book of utopian drawings shown at the Design Museum Gent.
