Art Deco apartment building for which the permit application dates from 1931, designed for his own account by the architect Louis Van Rijmenant (inscription on the ground floor) and built by the contractors Jozef Taeymans and Louis Driesen. Narrow and tall, it has a basement and seven storeys under a flat roof, with a sober façade of natural stone and bluestone below and of brick and stone above. Two oriels of unequal width articulate the upper floors; the decoration is limited to keystones and mouldings with leaf motifs, repeated in the wrought-iron window railings. A Thièry lift of around 1931 survives in the central stairwell. The building is recorded in the Flemish architectural heritage inventory.
