This large corner villa, in neo-Régence style with an Art Deco interior, was built for the merchant A. De Meestere to plans by the architect Marcel Tock, dated 1924 for the house; the corner stone is marked 1925-1926. Known in Ronse as the "Chateau de la soie", it stands at the back of an enclosed garden, whose gate dates from 1925, the rotunda from 1929 and the fence with sculpted piers from 1930. A holly motif runs through the exterior and interior decoration. The Art Deco interior has been preserved intact: a stair hall with marble floor and fountain, doors in coloured stained glass, and a dining room with a painted frieze. The villa has been protected as a monument since 2014.
