Marcel Tock
Marcel Tock, born in Tournai in 1895 and died in 1969, was an architect active in Brussels and Tournai. In 1923 he designed in Woluwe-Saint-Pierre a house at Rue Saint-Hubert 34 and an apartment building at Rue Paul Bossu 8, both in the Art Deco style. In Ronse he designed the villa "Château de la soie" for the yarn merchant Auguste Demeestere; its plans are dated Brussels 1924 and the house bears the inscription "1925-1926"; neo-Regency in appearance, it was given an Art Deco interior. In 1934 he built a house at Chaussée de Lille 41 in Tournai, modernist with Art Deco touches. In 1938 he designed a modernist house at Léopold Sturbautstraat 28 in Ronse.
