Large town house designed in 1938 in a sober Art Deco by the architect Karel Van Looy for Willey Nijen, and signed "K. VAN LOOY"; it follows a standard plan that recurs several times in the area, notably at no. 99 in the same street. Of two bays and three storeys over a basement with a garage, under a flat roof, the top storey treated as a slate mansard, it has a cornice façade of red-brown brick on a rusticated blue-stone plinth. A curved two-storey bay window, decorated on its rendered parts with floral Art Deco ornament, is crowned by a wrought-iron balustrade and a wide round-arched dormer forming a pediment, with geometric and floral reliefs. The wooden doors, with their Art Deco ironwork, survive; the window frames have been replaced. The house is recorded in the Flemish architectural heritage inventory.
