Art Deco terraced house, designed in 1929 as a "workman's house" by the builder A. Staes for G. Staes of Berchem; modest in size and layout, it uses according to the inventory a pure, geometric Art Deco vocabulary, uncommon in the Venneborg district. Of two bays and two storeys under a flat roof, it has a cornice façade of red brick on a blue-stone plinth, contrasting with the white rendered window surrounds. The door, with a mitre-shaped fanlight, sits in a rendered surround with dentils from which rise pilaster strips crowned by a triangular pediment; above it, a window forms a modern variant of the cross-window, with a concrete lintel and transom. The wide bay combines a triple window in a heavy concrete frame and, on the upper floor, a two-sided concrete bay window on a stepped corbel; the joinery has been replaced. The house is recorded in the Flemish architectural heritage inventory.
