Immeuble à appartements Art déco, rue Cervantès 65

Art Deco apartment building signed by the architect René Delbecq, 1934. The four-storey elevation beneath a flat roof has a ground floor in grey and green terrazzo bordered by a frieze of black, green and gold mosaics. On the upper floors, an artificial-stone oriel pierced by triple windows is flanked by yellow-brick piers; piers and engaged columns are ringed by the same mosaic frieze. The entrance and garage doors have glazed openings fronted by W-shaped ironwork. The widely projecting cornice has rounded corners. The joinery and the metal house-number digits are original. The building is recorded in the inventory.
