Immeuble à appartements Art déco, rue Cervantès 39

Small Art Deco apartment building designed by the architect Breeus in 1934. The asymmetrical red-brick façade is enlivened by white stone and bluestone elements. The main bay is pierced by wide windows, rectangular on the first two levels and round-arched on the third, and fronted by a curved bow window topped by a terrace with a masonry balustrade. The oak and wrought-iron door and the matching window are united beneath a canopy. The joinery is original, including the frames with transoms filled with lozenge-patterned stained glass. The building is recorded in the inventory.
