Ensemble of two mirror-image villas in sober Art Deco, designed in 1929 by Jef Huygh for the widow De Beucker, in Deurne; in or shortly after 1938, no. 207 was taken into use as the presbytery of the adjoining Saint Joseph's church, designed by Jef Huygh with Flor Van Reeth. Still close to cottage architecture, the two houses share a mansard roof dominated by a central conical chimney. Their brown-brick façades with cornice, on a high granito plinth, are encircled by a rendered band that frames the upper-floor windows and gives the roof a floating character. The ensemble is recorded in the Flemish architectural heritage inventory.
