Pair of identical mirror-image Art Deco town houses, signed and dated 1925 by the architect Joseph Evers, who designed them for himself. They form part of a coherent row of buildings with front gardens running from no. 72 to no. 112. The asymmetrical red-brick façades, set off with white stone, artificial stone and bluestone, have two storeys beneath a tall gabled roof fronted by a large polygonal dormer. Each house has a round-arched door and, above an original garage entrance, a two-storey trapezoidal oriel; the decoration is stylised floral and geometric. The doors with grilled openings and the front-garden railings survive; the pair is recorded in the inventory of architectural heritage.
