These two shop-houses, which housed the Aux planteurs de Caiffa grocery, were damaged during the First World War and then subject to a street-alignment order. They were rebuilt in a modern style in 1932 to plans by the Arras architect Oscar Pollet, by Oscar Vandecasteele's building firm. The two paired concrete buildings have three convex storeys, framed by engaged fluted columns and crowned by a dentilled entablature and a segmental pediment. Sawtooth bands separate the floors; according to the Inventory, this geometric composition gives them an Art Deco style.
