Damaged during the First World War, this commercial building used as a pastry shop was repaired between 1919 and 1924. Following the realignment of rue Saint-Aubert, it was expropriated, partly demolished and rebuilt in 1928 by the Arras firm Lantoine to plans by the architect Julien Wirton; the works were completed in 1929. Built of brick and bare concrete, it has two storeys and an attic above the shop. It is characteristic of the Art Deco style through its geometric decoration, its sawtooth cornice and its pediment, which schematises the Flemish scrolled gable.
