Art Deco town house built for Mrs G. Helsmoortel to a 1922 design by the architect Alfons Van Braekel, who applied here a refined Art Deco of rather French origin. The perfectly symmetrical natural-stone cornice façade, with four storeys under a flat roof, is organised in three registers, the central axis being treated as a semicircular oriel with a balcony and the upper windows grouped in fives. Medallions with a floral Art Deco pattern on the parapet and the grooved frieze of the balcony are the only ornament, within a sculpturally modelled façade with stepped profiles. It is recorded in the Flemish architectural heritage inventory.

Translated from the French original.
