Art Deco house divided into rental units, with an asymmetrical composition, designed in 1933 by the architect A. Van Gompel for his own account, like the neighbouring house. The three-storey elevation under a flat roof is in yellow brick, laid upright in some sections, set off with bluestone. Over the full height of the main bay, a triangular projection is marked at each level by a rectangular entablature, with colonnette mullions and jambs and a decoration of stacked stone slabs on the corner; on the upper floors a shallow trapezoidal oriel enlivens the façade. The door, reached by steps punctuated by spheres and sheltered by a flat canopy with a fluted, curved edge, is topped by a triangular lantern, and an attic parapet of spur-shaped brickwork and spheres crowns the façade. The door, with an arrow-shaped opening and geometric grille, survives, and the window frames survive or have been remade identically; the house is recorded in the inventory of architectural heritage.
