Contributing to the Art Deco unity of the Quartier des Carmes, this four-storey building in yellow brick and reconstituted stone, with two shops, is signed by the architect Léopold Thomé and dated 1936. Its facade, similar to that of no. 75 by the same architect, features a trapezoidal bow window on the second and third levels, topped by a terrace with a wrought-iron railing with a basket motif, and a large arched opening flanked by two imposing flower vases on the top floor. The entrance porch, with a yellow terrazzo floor, serves both the shops and the building; the shopfront with slender metal frames survives only on the right.
