Contributing to the Art Deco unity of the Quartier des Carmes, this apartment building with a shop on the first level, on the corner of the rue des Croisiers, is the work of the architect Léopold Thomé in 1932. Its four-storey elevation is marked by three projecting bow windows, the corner one rising by an additional level set into the lower slope of the roof. Brickwork offsets and decoration, including inverted pyramids under the window sills, at the top of the dormers and on the canted corner, enliven the facade; the first level was rebuilt in 2000-2001.
